Young Technicians CIC

The Young Tech’s are our driving force for all of the electrical intricacies for LowDown. They are dealing with everything and dealing with it amazingly. The Young Technicians is a comprehensive training program aimed at 11-19 year olds, all centred around the Live Events industry. The project delivers lessons and practical experience for young people in lighting, sound, stage production and management. Every student is given a broad range of opportunities that they can utilise to apply the knowledge they have gained through the program. Their tutoring team have over 50 years combined experience and are extremely dedicated to ensuring each and every student gets the most that they possibly can out of the course. The man driving the scheme forward is Pino Soccio. Pino has worked in the industry both on stage, in touring bands, and off stage, in lighting and sound production, for nearly 20 years; and as a Music and Performing Arts technician in a secondary school for 7 years. If you are interested in getting into Live Events and want to move into a rewarding, integral part of the bigger Events picture, then find out more on their website.

Peterborough Films

Peterborough Films is an experienced team of multi-talented individuals that will work with their customers all the way, to take the idea of their customers and help visualise it. They will always find a way to bring everything to life. They are consulting with us here at LowDown Film Festival to make sure that independent filmmakers get the experience that is sometimes lacking in other festivals. They are also organising industry professionals to judge the films, so that they are indie films, judged by indie film fans/makers. They are based in the centre Peterborough, meaning it allows them to easily travel the length of the country. 50 minutes to London and Cambridge, 60 minutes to Milton Keynes and Nottingham and 90 minutes to Birmingham and Lincoln. They have spent years developing their craft and that experience will help guide their customers through the video production process from start to finish. They also use the latest filming equipment and post-production facilities to capture the perfect look and feel for each customer..

Geekology Events are, primarily, an events company that puts on Comic Conventions in the local area. They are the team behind Kettering Geek Con and the newly started Cambridge Geek Con. Geekology are helping to promote LowDown to all of their suppliers and contacts to help bring that little bit of a Comic Con feel to the festival; that bit of entertainment to increase the inclusiveness of our film festival. Geekology will also have a traders stand, selling Funko Pops! and a few, more specific, film and tv memorabilia. Check out their website & facebook!
